Planning practice by the sea
To enquire about beach yoga in Ericeira, tell me when you will be here and whether you have a couple or a group in mind. Before booking, we discuss availability and agree a suitable meeting point.
You can write to me with your date, group size and the idea you have in mind. I will confirm whether I can arrange that session and under what conditions. I teach in Portuguese and English; tell me which language feels comfortable, especially if your group includes both local residents and visitors.
For an option with published times, check my studio classes in Ericeira. Indoor practice makes planning less dependent on wind and rain. Your first experience with me does not need to take place on a beach.
Getting to know Ericeira’s beaches
Mafra municipality describes Foz do Lizandro, in Carvoeira, as its largest sandy beach. It is a useful reference for understanding the area south of the village. This does not mean every part of the beach is available for a session: access, other beach users, the tide and conditions on the day all matter.
Praia dos Pescadores is beside central Ericeira, below the old village. It may be an easier reference for someone walking from the centre, but a central location does not guarantee quiet or an empty space. The municipality describes shelter from south and southeast winds, not protection from every wind direction.
These are two useful references for getting to know the area. For a session, we agree a meeting point and check access, local conditions and any permissions needed. The municipal pages below have more information about each beach.
Sunset yoga in Ericeira
If you are looking for sunset yoga, tell me your actual date. Sunset time changes throughout the year; “late afternoon” is not precise enough to arrange a session. We need to agree when to arrive, how long to practise and enough time to pack up and leave the location with sufficient daylight.
We can discuss a sunset practice for a couple or a group of friends. We check the conditions close to the date and agree an alternative for wind, rain or cold weather.
Would you like to practise at sunset? Send me your dates in Ericeira and the number of people who would like to join. A session is only agreed after we confirm availability, location, price and terms. If the beach is unsuitable, we can discuss another space.
Ask me about sunset yogaWhat to bring and how to check the weather
Ask whether a mat is provided and suitable for the chosen surface. Bring water, an extra layer for when you stop moving and only the belongings you need. Confirm where to leave them and how to reach the meeting point; the name of an entire beach is not a precise enough address.
Check the IPMA coastal forecast close to the date, rather than relying only on a sunshine symbol in an app. Wind and sea conditions are part of the decision. A favourable forecast does not replace checking the actual location on the day or following local guidance.
Before paying, ask what happens if conditions prevent practice: a different space, a new date or another agreed solution. Check when you will hear about that decision and which contact channel will be used. You should not be left waiting on the sand, wondering whether a session is still going ahead.
- Confirm your mat, water and an extra layer.
- Save the meeting point and contact details.
- Check the forecast and agreed alternative.
Private practice, birthdays and small groups
For a group, tell me what brings you together and how many people would like to participate. A birthday, friends visiting and a session for two may call for different rhythms. Everyone does not need previous yoga experience; I need to understand your group before suggesting a format.
If you are arranging a celebration, include the date, where you will be staying and how much time you would like to allow for practice. We can discuss yoga as part of your gathering without assuming the beach is the right setting. My private-session and private-event pages describe other possibilities.
A beach proposal is always subject to confirmation. Do not use the Ericeira Pole & Aerial passes to estimate the price of a private gathering: those prices belong only to the studio and the stated category, not to beach, at-home or sunset sessions.

If you are bringing your people together, explore yoga for weddings, birthdays and celebrations before we agree the location.
For surf-inspired practice inside the studio, explore Aerial Surf Movements. Read the guide to yoga for surfers in Ericeira.
Your next step
Send me a date or range of days, your group size and whether you prefer morning or sunset. If you already have a space in mind, describe it. You do not need to write a complete plan: we can start with your idea and see what is possible.
Before confirming a booking, we agree the exact location, duration, equipment, price and bad-weather alternative. A contact-form enquiry starts a conversation; it is not an automatic reservation. If you need a class already on the timetable, visit the Ericeira classes page and check studio availability.
Common questions
Are there regular beach-yoga classes?
For beach practice, ask me about dates and availability. My scheduled weekly classes take place at the Ericeira studio.
Can I enquire about sunset yoga?
Yes. Send your date and group size. Whether it can be arranged, where and at what time are subject to confirmation.
What does beach yoga cost?
The price of a possible session is confirmed with me before booking. Ericeira Pole & Aerial passes apply only to that studio.
Are classes in English or Portuguese?
I teach in both languages. Tell me your group’s preference when you enquire.
What if it is windy or raining?
The alternative and terms should be agreed before booking. Do not assume a beach session goes ahead regardless of the weather.
Shall we talk?
For a scheduled class, check Ericeira. For an individual plan, tell me who is coming and when you would like to practise.
