Choosing yoga during a surf trip
In Ericeira, you can choose a class with a set timetable or ask about arranging a session around your other plans. Start with that practical choice. How many days are you staying? Would you like to try one class or set aside time for a more personal practice? Are you coming alone or with other people? Those answers tell me more than whether you already call yourself a surfer.
Visit Portugal identifies Ericeira as a World Surfing Reserve. That is part of the town’s setting, but it does not mean every yoga class has the same format or purpose. In my offering, surf-inspired movement happens in the studio, with guidance. Learning to surf in the sea is a different experience, to arrange with a surf school.
For a short visit, start with the studio calendar. If the times do not fit, tell me which days you are here. We can discuss availability for private practice without assuming you need to buy a multi-class pass.

What we do in Aerial Surf Movements
My class combines three elements: aerial fabric exercises, floor-based mobility and balance, and surf-inspired movements. We do not spend the whole session in the fabric, and it is not a stretching sequence to copy alone before entering the sea. It is a guided practice bringing these elements together.
The fabric offers support and a different way of exploring movement. The floor is part of the session too. If you have never used aerial fabric, tell me before booking: I want to understand your starting point and explain the class. We can talk about the movements in class and the alternatives for starting out.
You can ask questions, ask me to repeat an instruction or say you would prefer to stop. I teach in English and Portuguese, and we can talk in the language that feels most comfortable. The practice is not offered as rehabilitation or a guarantee of better surfing performance.

Studio class or private practice?
Aerial Surf Movements is the option for exploring this combination in a studio class. The published timetable lists Thursday, 16:30–17:45, in Portugal local time. Check the calendar for the date you want to attend: the weekly timetable helps you plan, but your place is confirmed through booking.
Private practice starts with a conversation. Tell me whether you would like to practise alone, as a pair or with a small group, and share your preferred times. We agree the format and location before booking. If your idea includes aerial fabric, we need an equipped venue; a home session does not mean recreating a studio installation in your living room.
I also offer at-home sessions in Ericeira and Lisbon by arrangement, and live online practice. These are possibilities for discussing floor-based practice, not a promise of aerial yoga in any room. The choice depends on the space, available format and what you would like from the session.
Making room for practice during your stay
If you already have surf lessons or other activities booked, share those times when we speak. Leave time to reach the studio, change clothes if needed and find the entrance. An overly tight schedule can turn something you wanted to enjoy into a rush between two places.
For a group, check who would like to take part before asking about a session. One person may already know yoga while another is trying it for the first time. Tell me about that difference so we can discuss the proposal. Everyone does not need the same background or exactly the same reason for joining.
If you are visiting, save the address and booking confirmation, not just the class name. Timetables and plans can change. Read the studio terms before buying and ask how to let them know if you need to change your booking. For private sessions, we agree those details directly.
Questions before your first class
Ask which equipment is provided, what to wear when working with the fabric and when to arrive. Tell me it is your first aerial class even if you practise another kind of yoga. Knowing the mat and knowing the fabric are different experiences, and that first conversation helps make expectations clear.
If you have a health-related question about whether the practice is suitable for you, speak with your healthcare professional and with me before booking. You do not need to send medical details through a public form. This page helps you choose and prepare for a class; it is not an individual exercise programme.
Keep the studio contact details handy and confirm which language you would like to use. I am bilingual and want you to understand the guidance and feel able to ask questions. You do not need to wait until the end to say that something was unclear or that you would like another option.
Prices, booking and practice by the sea
For Aerial Surf Movements, ask Ericeira Pole & Aerial which pass applies to your chosen class. Prices I publish for that studio belong only to that venue and the stated categories. They are not prices for private, at-home, online or beach sessions.
Yoga for surfers and beach yoga are not the same offering. Aerial Surf Movements takes place in the studio. If you imagine practising by the sea, tell me about your date and group; we discuss the possibilities, location and conditions separately. My beach-yoga guide brings together the practical questions for that conversation.
To book at the studio, open the timetable and choose a date with availability. For an individual arrangement, send me your dates, group size and the idea you have in mind. We confirm format, location, duration and price before completing a booking. I want you to know what you are choosing and feel comfortable when you arrive.
