Dhara by Sadhana in São Domingos de Benfica
If you are looking for yoga in Lisbon at Sadhana, the venue where I teach is called Dhara by Sadhana. Dhara describes itself as a continuation of The Sadhana Experience, bringing facilitators, art and different practices into a shared space. I am Ana Brites, yoga teacher and creator of the Heartway method; I teach at this partner venue and do not own Dhara.
The official website describes a 180-square-metre main room, projections, surround sound, three therapy rooms and a living room. These describe the venue, not a list of services included in my class. The general capacity of the main room is also not the number of aerial yoga places available. Ask about space in the particular session you would like to attend.
Keep three details together when choosing your class: my name, Ana Brites; the full venue name, Dhara by Sadhana; and the São Domingos de Benfica address. Other facilitators also host activities here, so an event at Dhara is not necessarily a Heartway class. When booking, confirm the practice, date and teacher with me so that we are talking about the same session.

The Lisbon address and getting here
The address for my class is Travessa São Domingos de Benfica 9B, 1500-098 Lisboa, Portugal. Use the complete address when planning your journey, particularly if a search returns similarly named places. My Lisbon classes page also has the map and contact details, so you can ask about the entrance before leaving home or your accommodation.
If you are coming from another part of Lisbon, plan from your actual starting point and for the time of the class. A short distance on a map does not tell you how long public transport will take that day. Check the return journey too, including any connections you rely on. If you are visiting the city, saving the address and contact details makes it easier to resolve a question without searching for the venue again.
Ask me beforehand which entrance to use and when to arrive. If you need step-free access or another adjustment to move around the space, tell me what needs checking; photographs alone do not confirm those arrangements. If you are driving, check local restrictions and parking options on the day rather than assuming a space will be available directly outside the door.

Aerial yoga and the support of the fabric
Suspended fabric is part of an aerial yoga practice. It can support the body while we explore movement, balance and different positions. If acrobatic clips are your main reference, it is worth talking before your first class: something you see in a short video is not a sequence you must already be able to reproduce in order to participate.
In the video below, I show Dhara and a part of my practice with the fabric. It is my announcement of classes at this venue, not a demonstration of every stage of a session or a promise of what you will do on your first visit. Seeing the room and how I use the support may help you put together more specific questions.
Tell me whether you already practise floor-based yoga, have never used aerial fabric or feel apprehensive about a particular part. Experience in another activity does not remove the need to listen to guidance for this practice. We can discuss an appropriate starting session together. For more detail about equipment, clothing and initial questions, read my first aerial yoga class guide before making your booking.

Practising with me in English or Portuguese
I am Ana Brites. My background includes 400 hours of yoga training, more than 5,000 teaching hours and over 1,000 students over the years. Heartway is my method, and Dhara is one of the places where I teach. You can read more about my background on my About page before deciding whether you would like to try a class with me.
I teach in English and Portuguese. Tell me which language feels most comfortable when you get in touch, even if you recognise some posture names already. Understanding an instruction, asking a question and explaining how you feel during practice matter. If someone joining you prefers the other language, mention that too so we can confirm how to support both of you in the session.
If the group timetable does not fit your week, we can also discuss a private session, a small group, yoga at your home in Lisbon or a live online session. These formats are arranged separately. A request for private yoga does not guarantee a room at Dhara, and a general aerial class does not replace checking a specialist format, such as prenatal yoga, before booking.

Preparing for your first visit
Bring comfortable clothing that allows you to move and water. Before the class, ask me about the available equipment, whether you need your own mat and any specific guidance for working with the fabric. Check where to leave your belongings too. That way you can arrive with what you need without carrying equipment you may not have to bring.
When writing, say that it is your first class and what you would like to clarify. You do not need to explain your entire history in one message; the date, your experience and one or two questions help me respond. If you have an injury, a health condition or are pregnant, discuss the activity with your healthcare professional and tell me before booking.
The NCCIH advises adapting yoga practice to individual circumstances and seeking appropriate guidance when relevant health conditions are present. This is general information: it does not establish that aerial yoga, an inversion or a particular class is appropriate for you. We can clarify the format without making a medical assessment by message. During class, communicate discomfort and ask for a pause whenever you need one.

Class time, price and confirming a booking
The published weekly reference is Wednesday, 18:00–19:00, Portugal local time. The timetable was reviewed on 2026-10-05, using my announcement of Dhara classes. These are my class times, not the venue’s opening hours. For a particular date, visit the Lisbon classes page and check with me that the session is going ahead and has a place available.
The current Lisbon class price and terms are confirmed with me before booking. The passes shown for Ericeira Pole & Aerial belong to that studio and do not set the price at Dhara. Ask what the price includes, how payment works and what happens if you need to cancel or move your booking to a different date.
Send me the date you would like to come, how many people are joining and whether this is your first experience with aerial fabric. I will respond about availability and the details still to agree. A WhatsApp message or enquiry form starts a conversation; it does not automatically reserve a place. Keep your confirmation with the date, time, address and terms so you have everything to hand on the day.
